FEES AND INSURANCE

My fee for a psychotherapy session is $200. I accept reduced rates under certain circumstances.

I am an in-network provider with Cigna, New York State Empire Plan and Beacon. Individuals with these plans are responsible for their copayment as determined by their plan.

For all other healthcare plans I am an out-of-network provider. Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement for a portion of psychotherapy expenses. Reimbursement typically ranges from 50% to 90% after a deductible is met.

I provide insurance friendly invoices that contain all of the information required for claims, and I am happy to help with any questions and forms related to obtaining reimbursement.

In order to determine your out-of-network coverage contact your health insurance company and ask:

- Do I have mental health benefits?

- Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health?

- What is the reimbursement rate for individual psychotherapy (CPT code 90834) with a licensed psychologist?

- What is my deductible for out-of-network benefits? Has it been met?

- How many sessions per calendar year are covered?

- Is preauthorization required for individual psychotherapy?
